This has got to be one of the sweetest song that I heard in a while. And since my good friend had brilliantly pointed out that it's like V-day in June, let's all celebrate. Afterall, everyday should be a ♥s day. :)

Long Live the King!!

I had my own fair share of 'basketball craziness' when I was in elementary. I rooted for PBA's 'the aerial voyager' until highschool then unfortunately, I outgrew it. I was not rooting for a permanent team because I only like Vergel Meneses so whichever team he was in, then that's also my team. When he left PBA, no one made me feel excited anymore that I stopped watching it religiously for years. As for NBA, I was never really a fan because I thought they are all good that no one's gonna stand out among the rest. I know some names that are being worshipped by basketball enthusiasts but then again, they are not appealing to me. Apparently, I was wrong because when I watched Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals between Orlando Magic & Cleveland Cavaliers, Lebron James introduced himself and proved why he is The King making each game as exciting as possible.

The Earth Hour

Let us all join the whole world tomorrow, 28th March 2009 at 2030 (local time)as we celebrate the Earth Hour. For once, let's vote for our planet - against global warming - by switching off our lights for one whole hour - our Earth's hour. It may be trivial to some but it is the chance for the people of the world - our chance tio make our voices heard.

This year, Earth Hour is being taken to the next level, with the goal of 1 billion people switching off their lights as part of a global vote. Unlike any election in history, it is not about what country you’re from, but instead, what planet you’re from. VOTE EARTH is a global call to action for every individual, every business, and every community. A call to stand up and take control over the future of our planet. Over 74 countries and territories have pledged their support to VOTE EARTH during Earth Hour 2009, and this number is growing everyday.

We all have a vote, and every single vote counts. Together we can take control of the future of our planet, for future generations.

It's our chance to make a difference - so let's all have one.

Out of Boredom

It’s Monday. I don’t need to pretend that I am busy because really, I am not. My mind is already wandering and I can’t think of anything to do anymore (aside from sleeping which is obviously not an option -) so instead of wasting my time doing nothing, I decided to come up with my very own version of *drum roll please* the random list.

1. I lost important things last year more than I have lost things in my entire life.
2. I weigh more than I look like it.
3. I am a no-shopper BUT I somehow see myself in Rebecca Bloomwood’s shoes. :)
4. I love traveling. I love nature. I love adventures. And I’d like to explore our country’s beauty first before going out.
5. This is my ultimate dream: To have my ideal house built in a suburb area with the sea and the trees as my neighbors, birds chirping as my music where I can hibernate for as long as I want, away from the busy, crazy city life. My ideal house would mean a very luxurious bathroom. Bathtub and all that. Hehe.
6. The only local band that got into me apart from Eheads is Silent Sanctuary.
7. When I was a kid, I got lost in Makati. I was in my cousin’s house for a vacation, went out to see the store in the corner street and ended up in a police station. I don’t remember anymore how I got back but it makes me shiver to think what my life would have been had I (and the person who helped me) not found my way back.
8. I wanted to study in Ateneo, UP or La Salle (in that order) for college. Ironically, I ended up in UST.
9. I am an introvert. All personality tests that I took can attest to that.
10. I adore Ellen Degeneres. I literally laugh watching her and her show.
11. I love eating out. I collect napkins from every restaurant that I go to.
12. I bite straw.
13. I’ve been very vocal how much I love JLC and his movies (and shows) but had he not been in the industry, my top 3 fave tagalog movies would be: ‘Til There Was You (Piolo-Judy Ann), Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo (Ryan-Judy Ann) and Dahil Mahal na Mahal Kita (Rico-Claudine-Diether).
14. I am not into whatever-kind-of-arts. Much as I try to like it, I just don’t have the passion for it.
15. I was a Scrabble champion. Konrad has yet (and is dying) to beat me.
16. I can live an entire day eating mangoes, turnips and okra.
17. Junior year was my worst year in HS. This was when I learned those things that a good student should not be doing.
18. I love dark chocolates. You can have all Ferreros but Meiji’s Black is mine.
19. I wanted to work in a bank because I wanted to sign, sign and sign. Until I learned that affixing your signature to a piece of document can actually mess your life and that’s when it lost its appeal to me.
20. I became a student assistant in college doing library works. My first taste of hard-earned money.
21. I don’t have any issue in doing things over and over again, say watching HOUSE MD for the nth time, reading Harry Potter every now and then, catching replays on TV and the likes.
22. I actually told my favorite cousin that when I get sick, I want Dr. Gregory House to attend to me. Him and only him.
23. I want to experience living alone before settling down.
24. I was already in Grade 2 when my mother (my father just died then) decided to buy TV. This explains why I lack knowledge in kids’ shows and is an evidence of me being deprived as a kid. Hehe.
25. I enjoy children’s party. I love everything in it and I sometimes feel that I actually beat the children in enjoying the party that is meant for them.

I thought I’d be having a hard time doing this. Instead, ideas popped into my mind just like that that I ended up thinking they should have made this 50 random things. :)
